Like many new groups that come into the music scene comes comparisons with other artists & groups but do not be fooled, For Da Grind most definitely have their own unique distinct sound & style.

For Da Grind aka 4DG is made up of 6 close friends that slowly formed over a period of 6 years. From Rock, Soul, Reggae, to RnB For Da Grind is influenced from all types of genres fusing all their inspirations & influences blending each individuals personal talents & touch to bring you the 4DG sound. Each member has experienced different journeys through their own personal paths before 4DG, some have been fortunate enough to tour the world & perform in various countries alongside NZ's most known & well respected polynesian band 'Te Vaka' while other members have gained underground recognition & success with previous bands such as 'Element X' who were responsible for the singles 'Nesian girl' & 'All Aboard' Other members have gained huge amounts of experience & respect through the Dj club scene & covers band scene establishing a high quality name for themselves through the years. Its fair to say that collectively 4DG have attained quite a lot under their belt.

With uptempo songs that'll make you wanna hit the dance floor to the smooth heart felt lyrics & melodies that will be sure to reach in & touch your soul on the slow jam tip, For Da Grind will not leave you in disappointment. Diversity is rare to come by these days but make no mistake you'll be sure to find that missing ingredient in For Da Grind.
